TRAGEDY STRIKES

It is with tremendous sadness that Wayne was farewelled after his tragic death from a

car accident in the Northern Territory.

The accident happened in August, 2008 and many of his family, friends and colleagues

gathered at his home at Esk to farewell Wayne.

Tears were shed as Wayne's music was played, and there is no doubt that Wayne's music

will live on and continue to touch the hearts and lives of people who hear his music.

Wayne was an adult when he picked up his guitar and taught himself to play.

It wasn't long before he was singing along and was encouraged to take his music further.

A friend coaxed Wayne to a Country Music Club and how he managed to get Wayne onto the

stage remained, to Wayne, a complete mystery, but he did not look back from this point on.

He released his debut album in 2003 - an all-Australian album consisting of bush ballads,

trucking songs and love songs.

The album includes a number of Wayne's original songs.

Wayne's album is a definite "must have" for those who enjoy quality country music.

A very talented song-writer, Wayne sang from the heart with a genuine warmth and an easy, relaxed style.
